A Class Act

If there ever were a classy football coach, may I introduce you to Wayne Weaver? The Winn Dixie where we shop had a Jaguar Open House and you'd better believe we all went. I was bummed that Sunil had a consult to see a patient and couldn't come. It was so much fun. They even had teal cotton candy - leave it to me to focus on the food! The players were so friendly and Wayne made it a point to walk around and say hello to the crowd. Saloni's highlight was meeting Wayne and Jaxson Deville - she even lifted her jersey to show him the t-shirt she was wearing with his picture on it!
So proud to be a season ticket holder!

Daadi and Daada time

I only met my grandmothers but never my grandfathers. And even then, never got to spend the quality time our kids do with their grandparents. It makes me glow to see what an impact they have on our lives as parents and how much the kids look up to them. God Bless them!

Road trippin' to Sarasota

Sunil's brother and sister-in-law
and their two cutie pies,
moved into a new house
that's got sunshine and lovely insides,
So we got into the car for a visit
and had a great time,
laughing, movies, eating and more
that's how family's defined,

The kids played so happily together
we need not worry at all
in fact we didn't even notice
how time just flew by us all...

I'm a Bridesmaid!

I'll never forget when my longtime friend April called me from Rochester to ask me to be her bridesmaid. I thought I was in a movie. First of all, I haven't been to an American wedding in a long time and I had never been "in" a wedding ever. So of course I was totally flattered and floored at the same time. She's my bud and I was so happy to be there for her.
Now you are probably thinking...wasn't she in Nashua, NH and then Irvine, CA and then Scottsdale, AZ? Yeah, this trip was the last of my whirlwind travel. I never been on a plane so many times in a row. But hey, do what you can while you can do it. I've learned that from seeing what happened to my parents.

So back to April and oh, the handsome and sweet groom Walter. A match made in Rochester heaven. He's charismatic, caring, fatherly and laid-back and she's beautiful, detail-oriented, kind, generous and ever the planner. They definitely balance each other out and the wedding with its rain pop-ups and time delays and whatever might have tripped things a bit went all but smoothly.
Thanks for asking me to your bridesmaid April...I was honored to be part of your family on this special day and always!

Cactus, golf and food...where are we?

The second week of August brought us to AZ and we already knew it was going to be fun with a capital "F"! Need I describe Ragiben's (Sunil's cousin) amazing menus that she plans on a daily basis? Or the fact that I see my adorable hubby laugh the most around his cousins? Or the great time the kids had dancing and watching endless Disney movies with everyone who could stand it?

Let's just say, that the hot weather aside, it was a great few days. Bijal treated me to a spa massage. Sunil got a wonderful day of golf. Saloni even came up with the awesome idea when we were at the mall of getting everyone matching t-shirts. Isn't she something? So Bijal and I did and it was like the creation of a new tradition. Plus, there isn't a Joshi who doesn't look good in a nice tee! And in between, it was nothing but food, football talk, naps and a little Tiger Woods Wii...come see for yourself...
